“I was already thinking of mentoring a young therapist because I’ve had quite a career – a very blessed career… and it’s a ministry as well.”
Jolene Peterman, Kaneh Massage & Co
Jolene is quick to point out the inherent risk to signing up for something as expensive as massage school – with no guarantee you’ll even take to it. She counts herself “very blessed” that she ended up loving it, being good at it, and landing a job at the Bellagio right out of school.
Jolene met her husband, Dan, at a Christian retreat in Oregon. She relocated to his home in Boise shortly after and they were married.
Jolene began to think about opening her own business as she approached the birth of her first child. She knew she wanted to devote more time to her children at home, and running her own business would give her flexible hours. “Kaneh Massage & Co” was born.
Jolene is passionate about using her business to minister to others. She makes a point of combining mental, spiritual, and physical wellness, and redeeming the massage industry for legitimate ministry.
